Reborn Master

A depiction of a Reborn Master in action, wielding a pair of lightsabers.

Originally part of Desann's Reborn group, the Reborn Masters transitioned to serving Tavion Axmis following the former's demise. Within both the original Reborn and Tavion's Disciples of Ragnos organization, they held positions of significant authority. They were distinguished by their heavy, violet-hued body armor and the elongated lightsabers they carried, reminiscent of those favored by Desann. While most masters utilized a single lightsaber, some were known to wield dual lightsabers or saberstaffs.

The Reborn Masters possessed exceptional skill as practitioners of the dark side of the Force and were formidable lightsaber combatants, capable of defeating an average Jedi. They also demonstrated proficiency in light side Force abilities, including Force heal, Force protection, and Force absorb. Furthermore, Reborn Masters employed Dun Möch tactics during battles to erode the mental fortitude of their adversaries.

Unlike typical cultists, masters were rarely involved in cult activities unless the stakes were exceptionally high. On one occasion, two masters were deployed to Taspir III to prevent the Jedi from rescuing Rosh Penin, who was being held captive after attempting to escape. Jaden Korr encountered and triumphed over both masters during his search for Rosh. Additionally, two more masters participated in the Battle of Korriban. They delayed the Jedi forces in the Valley of the Dark Lords until Korr engaged and defeated them. Aside from these noteworthy instances, the Reborn Masters generally maintained a low profile within the cult.

Behind the scenes

In the game Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, during the Battle of Korriban, players will encounter a Reborn Master using a staff who defeats three Jedi Knights with apparent ease. However, this event is pre-scripted and does not accurately reflect the character's actual combat prowess within the game. Once the player activates a specific trigger, the hit points of the three Jedi are drastically reduced from 200 to a mere 1, allowing their opponent to defeat them with a single, minimal attack. Meanwhile, the Reborn Master remains invincible until Jaden directly engages them.
