Example of victory decals
Marks of victory, otherwise known as victory decals, were applied to the flight helmets of Alliance to Restore the Republic starfighter pilots. These marks indicated the quantity of enemy craft that the pilots were officially recognized to have defeated. As an example, Rebel pilot Wion Dillems displayed victory decals on his helmet to represent the twenty enemy fighters he had shot down or otherwise destroyed.
