Plasteel could be used in the construction of interior doors, for instance. The red Kaleesh mask donned by Sidon Ithano was constructed from plasteel, as were specific components of Darth Vader's helmet. Cardo, a Knight of Ren, utilized plasteel-plated greaves. Additionally, plasteel found its use in treads, such as those on the 125-Z treadspeeder bike. This material also had applications in reconstructive surgery; a surgeon could employ a plasteel sleeve over a fused bone section to restore its original strength. In a similar fashion, a plasteel mask could be affixed onto recently remodeled facial muscles.

Ezra Bridger, the young rebel, at times referred to Imperial stormtroopers as "plasteel pigs," even though their recognizable white armors were actually composed of plastoid. Nonetheless, plasteel possessed considerable strength, rendering it suitable for armor; M3 Bulwark Blast Shields were fashioned from reinforced plasteel sheets, enabling them to withstand blaster rifle fire and even fragments from grenades.
