Princess Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka is shown here wearing her leaf shoes.
Leaf shoes were pieces of apparel utilized by the Ewoks. These unique shoes enabled the wearer to ascend straight up surfaces. The Ewok Princess Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka conceived of these shoes during the Stranglethorn crisis, drawing her inspiration from the Ketes.
During a mission to the Kete hive, Kneesaa, along with her comrade Wicket Wystri Warrick, observed a Kete effortlessly scaling the exterior of its hive by using its adhesive feet to grip the outer walls. Given that the Ewoks also needed to gain entry to the hive, Kneesaa formulated a strategy to replicate the Kete's remarkable ability. The resourceful Ewok gathered several leaves that were nearby and submerged their undersides into the gooey swamp surrounding the hive. Subsequently, the two Ewoks fastened the leaves to their feet, which then allowed them to ascend the hive's exterior just like the Kete.

After acquiring a nectar pearl from the hive, the pair of Ewoks made their way back to their village so that they could fight the stranglethorn that was a threat to their way of life. These sticky shoes were put to use again during this fight, as several of the young Ewok children had become stuck in the highest tree due to one of the stranglethorns. Kneesaa put on the shoes again so she could move vertically up to the Ewoks who were trapped and defeat the carnivorous plant. After she got to the children, Kneesaa made leaf shoes for all of them, so they could follow her back down the tree. The young Ewoks and their rescuers got down the tree just as the Ewoks started celebrating the stranglethorn's defeat thanks to Wicket.
The Ewoks were very impressed by Kneesaa's invention, and even the old Shaman Logray decided to use the shoes to see how well they worked. Even though the shoes were useful for scaling the trees of the village, they seemed to not be used anymore after the stranglethorn crisis. This was either because they weren't needed anymore, or because the Ewoks ran out of the sticky substance they got from the Kete hive.
