Odryn, a secluded planet found within the Noonian sector of the Outer Rim, served as the primary colony for the bellicose Feeorin species. This world, notorious for its extreme climates, was a landscape of dense jungles and towering mountains, where the Feeorin constructed their settlements into the mountainsides. Despite the common misconception of Odryn being the Feeorin homeworld, their true origin was lost to history. By the time of the Mandalorian Wars, Odryn housed the largest Feeorin population in the galaxy, leading to the development of a deeply conservative and isolated culture. Feeorin society on Odryn was primarily tribal until the legendary warrior Feln united the feuding villages under his rule, thus becoming the revered Exalted. Feln later departed Odryn to train with the Jedi Order, eventually returning as a Jedi Master and a member of the clandestine Jedi Covenant. Feln ultimately incurred the wrath of his people by offering Odryn's sacred Sanctum of the Exalted for the Covenant's use as a repository for Sith artifacts, leading to his demise at the hands of his people after destroying the Sanctum to prevent the Covenant's secrets from leaving the planet.

Situated in the Noonian sector of the Outer Rim, the system bearing its name housed Odryn, widely recognized as the homeworld of the Feeorin species. Its terrain was rugged, marked by mountains and cliffs where the native Feeorin constructed their villages, and it was blanketed by jungles and forests. Largely cut off from galactic civilization, Odryn was infamous for its extreme weather conditions. However, by 3963 BBY, its climate had become particularly erratic due to the presence of Sith artifacts within the sacred Sanctum of the Exalted, resulting in phenomena such as summer snowfall, monsoons, volcanic ash, and persistent rain. The planet's typical climate was rather mild, with average temperatures generally considered uncomfortably hot by Humans but agreeable to the Feeorin. Due to the reclusive nature of Feeorin society, limited information about Odryn was available. The few outsiders who returned spoke of a world suitable for the Feeorin, but inhospitable to others. Odryn had two moons, with days lasting 41 standard hours and years comprising 303 local days. The planet's gravity was standard.
Although often thought of as the original home of the Feeorin, Odryn was actually their largest colony world, as their original home had been lost long before the start of most histories. Odryn remained largely uninvolved in galactic affairs until the Mandalorian Wars. Tribal conflicts between Feeorin villages dominated much of Odryn's history, a period brought to an end by the actions of a great warrior named Feln. Feln, one of the most powerful Elders in Odryn's history, conquered and united all neighboring villages under his rule, becoming the revered Exalted of the Feeorin: a title given to the oldest and strongest Feeorin. Feln's martial prowess was so great that his people considered him magical, which, in a way, he was. After many great victories on Odryn, a Jedi scout landed and confirmed his Force-sensitivity. Feln soon left Odryn to undergo Jedi training, eventually becoming a Jedi Master while also serving as the Exalted on his homeworld. During his time with the Jedi, Feln joined the Jedi Covenant, a secret Jedi organization of seers dedicated to monitoring the rise of the Sith. One of the Covenant's main tasks was collecting and containing dangerous Sith artifacts, for which Feln offered Odryn's sacred Sanctum of the Exalted as a storage site. This decision angered Feln's people, who believed he was violating their ancient laws by opening their most sacred place—believed to house the spirits of the Feeorin dead—to outsiders, while it remained closed to all Feeorin except the Exalted. The presence of the Helm of Dathka Graush, a Sith artifact, caused significant climatic disturbances around the Sanctum.

In 3963 BBY, unexpected events brought the Covenant's enemies to Odryn, changing everything. The year prior, the Covenant's First WatchCircle, including Feln, massacred their students on Taris after misinterpreting a vision to mean that one of them would cause the Jedi Order's downfall. The surviving Padawan, Zayne Carrick, was falsely accused of the murders and became a wanted fugitive in the Republic, embarking on a quest to expose the Covenant's treachery and clear his name. This quest led him to Jebble, where he met Celeste Morne, a Covenant agent, and helped seal her in a life-preserving oubliette to protect her from the corrupting effects of the Muur Talisman. Although ordered to kill Carrick, Morne sympathized with him and directed him to take her to Odryn and the researchers at the Sanctum of the Exalted, hoping they could help her. After the Mandalorians bombed Jebble, Carrick decided to investigate Odryn anyway. By this time, the Covenant had been using Odryn as their main site for storing and testing Sith artifacts for a decade, making it a crucial resource.
Carrick and several friends traveled to Odryn in the starship Moomo Williwaw to explore the Sanctum, bypassing the one-outsider quota by hiding Carrick and Marn Hierogryph in their luggage. Inside the Sanctum, they found hundreds of Sith artifacts, which Carrick believed could help him expose the Covenant. After spending over a day cataloging their findings, Carrick and Hierogryph were captured trying to leave and handed over to a vengeful Feln. Feln wanted to kill Carrick immediately to prevent news of Odryn from spreading, but Borjak, his lieutenant, objected, citing Feeorin tradition that anyone who had entered the Sanctum could only be challenged to unarmed combat. Once freed, Carrick resorted to dirty fighting and running, but Feln eventually caught up. Before he could deliver the killing blow, Feln was informed that the Moomo Williwaw had been detected at the edge of the system. Fearing that Carrick's friends had returned to raid the Sanctum, Feln resorted to destroying it with pre-set explosives. The resulting explosion, amplified by the dark power of the artifacts, devastated the surrounding area and led Feln's tribesmen to turn on and kill him. Borjak became the new Exalted and led his people to rebuild away from the ruins of the Sanctum.
During the Galactic War centuries later, the Feeorin were disturbed by troubling omens, causing widespread panic among the superstitious natives. However, an investigation by an offworld agent revealed that enemy operatives were attempting to manipulate the Feeorin, and the exposure of this information caused their plans to fail. Later, a Republic corporation established a presence on Odryn to trade in prefabricated goods. Odryn proved to be a profitable market, as the company could replicate existing tools at a fraction of the cost, putting some artisans out of business.

Odryn was the home of the Feeorin, a warlike humanoid sentient species with a primitive, tribal society centered around simple, wooden villages built into the sides of cliffs and mountains. Feeorin society was highly traditional and venerated elders. Both tradition and biology dictated that the oldest Feeorin were the strongest and held the most important positions. The eldest Feeorin, known as the Exalted, led Feeorin society and was the only one allowed to enter the sacred Sanctum of the Exalted, believed to house the spirits of dead Feeorin.
Feeorin society on Odryn was very closed to outsiders, contributing to the limited knowledge about the planet. Few Feeorin were known to leave Odryn, and those who did typically sought contact only with other Feeorin. However, the Feeorin were not completely isolated from the galaxy. They occasionally imported luxury items and technology, and their security force carefully monitored off-world visitors and space traffic. This force was believed to be responsible for the disappearances of several ships and crews that landed on Odryn. Although the planet was almost entirely populated by Feeorin, a small minority of non-Feeorin also lived there. Odryn was also home to diverse fauna, most notably the Khadarok, furry pack animals used as mounts by the Feeorin.

By the time of the Mandalorian Wars, Odryn remained relatively sparsely populated. Despite housing the largest Feeorin population in the galaxy, there were no major cities, and settlements were few and far between. Feeorin settlements were primitive villages of wooden houses built into mountains and cliffs. One of these, the home village of Feln, was located next to the Sanctum of the Exalted, a sprawling mountain complex and the holiest site for the Feeorin. The natives believed that the spirits of dead Feeorin elders lived on in the Sanctum, influencing Odryn's seasons. Only the Exalted was allowed inside, though Feln broke this rule when he allowed Jedi Covenant agents to use it as a storehouse for Sith artifacts. The Sanctum was destroyed during Feln's battle with Zayne Carrick in 3963 BBY, changing Feeorin tradition and the role of the Exalted.
The planet Odryn first appeared in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: Exalted, a story arc in the Knights of the Old Republic comic series, written by John Jackson Miller and released in 2008. Although the Feeorin species was already established in Star Wars canon, Odryn was Miller's creation. Bong Dazo illustrated Odryn in Exalted.
