Chokie was a widely enjoyed food item, packaged and sold in boxes, on the desert planet of Tatooine. The preparation involved harvesting it fresh and then drying it in the Dune Sea for a period of seventy-two hours to create fresh dried chokie. Grendle, a local food merchant, offered these for sale from his stall located close to the Mos Espa Grand Arena. Moreover, chokie was also shipped to Coruscant, where a Roonan sold it at CorusMall, which was situated in proximity to the Senate Building.
Qui-Gon Jinn had the option of requesting a box of chokie from Grendle while on Tatooine. Alternatively, he could inquire about purchasing a thermal detonator, which would lead Grendle to send him to Anabar, another seller, who would then provide him with the detonator.
Should Qui-Gon eliminate Grendle prior to any transaction, a box of chokie would appear for him to collect. Conversely, if he eliminated Grendle after already buying the box, Grendle would drop a single chokie piece.
Once Qui-Gon had acquired a box of chokie, he could present it to an Ishi Tib, but no compensation or reward would be given in exchange.
