The holocron
A Jedi holocron, serving as a map, existed around the time of 1000 BBY. It was once aboard a Jedi starfighter that suffered a crash landing on the planet of Ceriun. The starship's pilot, who was mortally wounded, requested that the local farmers finding him safeguard the holocron until a Jedi could reclaim it. However, a Sith who had journeyed to Ceriun specifically to find the artifact ended up taking it instead.
