Brosi

Brosi, situated within the remote Thandon Cluster in the Corporate Sector, served as the original homeworld for the Brosin species. As the fourth planet orbiting the Dostra system, it stood out as one of the few native worlds located within the Corporate Sector.

Characterized by its abundant and mild forests, Brosi was teeming with diverse plant and animal life. A notable geological feature was a series of waterfalls cascading from heights exceeding two kilometers. Furthermore, the planet contained significant natural deposits of Zinsian, a desiccant preservative, as well as Hfredium.

Despite being the native land of the Brosins, a Near-Human sentient species, Brosi was colonized by the Old Republic centuries prior to the rise of the Galactic Empire. These colonists introduced Staplarints for use as riding animals. However, the advent of repulsorlift technology rendered animal transportation largely obsolete, leading to the abandonment of the Staplarints. Consequently, they reverted to a feral state, roaming freely across the landscape.

The discovery of the Zinsian deposits prompted the Corporate Sector Authority to construct three Zinsian processing facilities (Delta 1, Delta 2, and Mailor). This endeavor resulted in the displacement of thousands of indigenous Brosins, and numerous young male Brosins were coerced into hazardous extraction work under the supervision of CSA personnel. These actions fueled resentment among the Brosins towards the Corporate Authority's governance.

Shortly after the initial plant commenced operations, the Brosin Underground emerged as a terrorist group dedicated to opposing the Corporate Authority's influence on Brosi. This organization was spearheaded by the charismatic young Brosin woman, Randle Clanse, who gained notoriety for distributing the profits and equipment pilfered from the CSA.

The Security Police typically employed by the CSA proved ineffective against the Brosin Underground due to their unfamiliarity with the natural terrain. Supervisor Wasith, a commanding officer within the CSA, attempted to engage bounty hunters to eliminate the Brosin Underground from the Blan Forests, but these efforts were similarly unsuccessful. One bounty hunter reportedly resigned, citing "inadequate support from CSA officers."

While the goals of the Underground seemingly aligned with those of the Rebel Alliance, their methodologies diverged so greatly that each faction perceived the other as a potential threat.
