Fendel Ramison, a hunter by trade, was engaged by a Deminol-based biologist for a specific task: retrieving a tresher egg from its natural habitat. The biologist furnished all necessary gear, including a blaster carbine, and covered the costs of his travel to and from Tinallis. The payment offered for a successful retrieval was 10,000 credits.
The venture proved to be a complete disaster. During the three-day trek through the Tinallian rainforest, en route to the cliffs where a tresher nest was located, a Tinallian razorcat raided his supplies, shrugging off a shot from his carbine with little effect. Attempting to scale the cliffs, he narrowly avoided a fatal fall while attempting to remove Tinallian cliff spiders that had crawled onto him. Upon finally reaching the nest, he faced an immediate assault, first from a tresher chick, and subsequently from the adult tresher.
He attempted to use his blaster carbine for defense, however, the tresher seized the weapon and took flight, with Ramison still gripping it tightly. After a short flight, the tresher released its grip, sending Ramison plummeting fifty meters into the ocean. The resulting impact caused fractures to both of his legs.
The Tinallian authorities rescued Ramison, but immediately took him into custody for transgressing planetary conservation regulations. Ramison admitted his guilt and received a brief prison sentence. Following the signing of a statement detailing his misadventures, he expressed his anticipation for recuperating in a "nice, dry cell."
