DB-7197

DB-7197 was a stormtrooper of the First Order, identified as human. He participated in Captain Phasma's attack of the [iron](/article/iron] planet called Demir, where he sustained a fatal injury. KM-8713, a fellow trooper, attempted to rescue DB-7197. However, when Phasma's life was in danger due to a thermal detonator, she callously threw the wounded DB-7197 onto the explosive device, killing him and saving her own life.

History

As a stormtrooper, DB-7197 served the First Order. He and fellow trooper KM-8713 underwent basic training together. Sometime between the years of 24 ABY and 34 ABY, DB-7197 was involved in the First Order Army's assault of the planet Demir, under the command of Captain Phasma. During the battle, DB-7197 was wounded in the chest, and KM-8713 discovered him after he had fallen. KM-8713 helped DB-7197 to stand on his feet and offered words of support.

Seeing the two troopers, Phasma initially told KM-8713 to abandon DB-7197, then made it a direct order when KM-8713 objected. Subsequently, a Demirian launched a surprise attack on the group, but KM-8713 stopped them with fire from his blaster. The defeated Demirian dropped an armed thermal detonator, which caused Phasma to throw DB-7197's body onto the grenade, despite protests from the other two.

DB-7197's species was human. KM-8713 regarded him as a capable soldier, although Phasma considered him merely adequate.
