A contact team represented a group of individuals belonging to the Alliance to Restore the Republic, and their assignment tasked them with reaching out to prospective allies and individuals looking to switch sides. During 3 ABY, a team of this nature, headed by Merak, who hailed from Alderaan, undertook an effort to enlist Ketrian Altronel on the planet Hargeeva.
