Following the exit of the Thaereian military from the Cularin system, illicit activities saw a surge in profitability. Riboga, a Hutt crime lord, aimed to wrest back control of the system's criminal underworld from Nirama, a former colleague. To signal his resurgence, Riboga dispatched the assassin Kills to eliminate key individuals within Nirama's organization.
