C-16 fragmentation grenade

The C-16 fragmentation grenade represented a specific design of fragmentation grenade produced by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc.. This particular grenade utilized a detonite center, which was encased within a prestressed chrome exterior. Upon its explosion, the C-16 would disperse a high-velocity spray of shrapnel across the affected zone. Characterized by its light weight, the C-16 also featured a detonator mechanism preset to activate after a four-second interval. The timer duration could be adjusted via a rotating control. The C-16 gained considerable favor among Alliance to Restore the Republic soldiers throughout the Galactic Civil War, and was also used by New Republic forces.
