The Byss cheese, a creation of the Abyssin race, was famous for the prominent holes that dotted its surface. Due to its distinctive, hole-filled appearance, celestial bodies with numerous craters, such as Yavin 13, the thirteenth moon orbiting Yavin Prime, were often compared to Byss cheese. It featured as an ingredient in the Shaak and cheese sandwich offered at Dex's Diner located on Coruscant.
