Blasnic, an infochant of the Squib species, plied his trade on the Burnout space station situated within the Thaereian system. His upbringing on the station, a harsh environment, suppressed typical Squib traits, leading him to pursue information brokering. In 21 BBY, Blasnic convened with agents working under Osten Dal'Nay at the Burnout Cafetorium cantina. Upon learning of their desire to locate the infamous Burnout arena, Blasnic recognized an opportunity, albeit an expensive one. After they consented to his considerable fee, he furnished them with the necessary directions. Furthermore, he included details on locating the daily contact and password for entry into the Underburn, all at no additional cost.
Blasnic possessed a hyperactive nature. He affected an air of ignorance and obliviousness, conforming to Squib stereotypes. He also tended to shout rather than speak. His behavior, while irritating to others, served as a calculated tactic to unsettle his business associates and gain leverage in negotiations. However, he readily abandoned this facade when his partners adopted a more serious demeanor. Blasnic was also proficient in his profession, capable of providing information on the station's notable events. He exercised caution, restricting all information to verbal communication, refusing to risk storing it on datachips or in written form. Blasnic had adopted the common droid expression of swearing by the Maker.
Blasnic appears as a minor gamemaster character within the Memories adventure, a part of the Living Force campaign for Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game. The player characters, known as the "Heroes of Cularin," are required to procure information from Blasnic to advance their mission of rescuing Cularin prisoners destined to fight in the Burnout arena.
