Black 2 identified the TIE fighter piloted by DS-61-2 during the Battle of Yavin. As a member of Black Squadron, its cockpit displayed twenty-seven flame symbols, each signifying the destruction of a Rebel target. Its ultimate fate occurred when it impacted the Death Star I's trench wall, following a collision with Darth Vader's starfighter, resulting in its destruction.
