BD-34
BD-34, a B1-series battle droid, functioned during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Following the Battle of Yavin, BD-34 was in the service of Jabba the Hutt's criminal empire on the desert planet of Tatooine, reporting to Jabba's cruel EV-series supervisor droid, EV-9D9. In the year 1 ABY, BD-34, alongside three other droids named R3-B57, RA-316, and LIN-34, made their escape from Jabba's Palace and sought sanctuary in the Darklighter cache. Consequently, EV-9D9 contracted a spacer to locate the escaped droids within the cave. Under EV-9D9's harsh instructions, the spacer was to install pain bolts on the droids before their destruction.
Behind the scenes
BD-34 made an appearance as a non-player character within the Star Wars Galaxies video game, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that was developed by Sony and published by LucasArts, before its servers were shut down on December 15, 2011. BD-34 was integrated into the game as a component of the "Legacy Quest" with the release of "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.
