Battle of Taanab

The renowned Battle of Taanab occurred in 4 ABY. In this battle, Lando Calrissian faced off against a pirate fleet while in orbit around the planet Taanab. Calrissian emerged victorious, thanks to a bold and effective strategy he executed. Not long before the Battle of Endor, Calrissian spoke of the battle to Han Solo, a fellow smuggler. He concluded that his triumph in the battle was the reason he was promoted to the rank of General within the Alliance Fleet.
