As part of Moff Gideon's Galactic Empire remnant, a stormtrooper known as 5387 was assigned to a base situated on the volcanic planet of Nevarro. In approximately 9 ABY, a group of infiltrators sabotaged the facility's cooling mechanisms, leading to uncontrolled lava flows on Nevarro. 5387, along with another trooper, 5389, were summoned by a fellow soldier to tail them. Unbeknownst to the two stormtroopers, the infiltrators were observing their movements from a hidden location.
