This planet had been colonized by people from the Galactic Republic escaping the oppressive rule of the Pius Dea cult, which was in charge of the Republic at that time. Pradeux then designated Prefsbelt as a sanctuary for Renunciate naval officers aiming to depose the Pius Dea. [1]
